Julie Flett, a Cree-Metis author, illustrator, and artist, has received numerous awards for her work, including. a Governor General's Award for When We Were Alone by David Roberton and the American Indian Library Association award for Little You by Richard Van Camp. She is a three-time recipient of the Christie Harris Illustrated Children's Literature Award. She is author of many books and winner of the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award.
