Autorenporträt
Since 2013, Dr. Thomas White has served as President of Cedarville University, where he leads with a passion for biblical truth, academic excellence, and intentional discipleship. The son and grandson of faithful Baptist pastors, Dr. White grew up in the local church and felt called from a young age to continue his family's legacy of gospel ministry. After earning his MDiv and PhD in systematic theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, he served in leadership and teaching roles at Southwestern Seminary before God called him to Cedarville. At the heart of Dr. White's leadership is a desire to raise up a generation of bold, compassionate, biblically faithful men and women who will make a difference for Christ wherever He calls them.During his presidency, Cedarville has experienced remarkable growth, from launching the largest fundraising campaign in its history and growing in enrollment and new programs to building new spaces that serve students well. But his favorite moments involve mentoring students, opening God's Word in chapel, and encouraging young leaders to pursue Jesus wholeheartedly.Dr. White is the author of a three-volume series on James Madison Pendleton and has served as the editor of First Freedom: The Baptist Perspective on Religious Liberty and Upon This Rock. He lives in Cedarville, Ohio, with his wife, Joy, their two children, and their dogs-where they love cheering for the Yellow Jackets and welcoming students into their home.
