About this Novel: Shadows of the Forest is a result of my children's favorite pastime, they love to read. They were too young to understand when this project initially took flight. John was born in California, USA in 1963 - after many adventures, he now lives in the mountains of Idaho, with his wife Kylie and their German Shepherd guardians. They live off-grid and work to become more self-sufficient with each passing season. His five children are all grown, making their own way in the great forest of life. With over thirty years of tactical training and experience. John drew upon his own experiences to teach his children and many other students. He focuses on lasting values, standing for truth, using faith, honor, and loyalty to navigate the roads of life and to prove chivalry is not dead. To never give up, and believe in yourself and others. Most of all, recognize there is a higher power we can all draw upon no matter what life brings.Teaching, Storytelling and creativity are his passions.
