The Mulheres Mil Program aims not only to provide professional training, but also to recognize the importance of these women in their families and communities. The question is, therefore, whether this objective is actually achieved, specifically in the Bakery course promoted by IFCE - Iguatu campus. What significant changes could be seen in the lives of these women after completing the course? What changes occurred in terms of improved income or entry into the job market? Was there a search for autonomy or improved self-esteem and well-being due to professionalization? The answer to these questions comes from the perceptions of 50 course participants, residents of the João Paulo II neighborhood, whose profile can be defined as women with low levels of education, responsible for managing their households, including finances, most of whom are enrolled in social programs such as Bolsa Família and who, even in the midst of this reality, still have a desire to take advantage of opportunities that arise. Regarding the changes that the program has brought to their lives, all consider the impact to be positive, mainly awakening in them the desire to learn.
