An Archivist-Historian, Researcher, Author, Producer, Lecturer and Ethnomusicologist - Joyce Jenje-Makwenda was born in Mbare Township, Salisbury (Harare) in 1958. For the past 27 years, she carried out research and interviews on early urban culture, music, politics, education, religion, media, fashion, taboo, sexual and cultural issues and women's histories in Zimbabwe.
