Even considering the numerous advances pointed out by official rural statistics, women's effective participation in the rural economy has not yet been sufficient for them to be recognized as protagonists of national, regional, and local economic development. This research seeks to highlight, through an on-site study, the strength of women's labor in the rural microeconomy sector. There are strong indications of a lack of recognition and devaluation of this labor in Ceará, Brazil, and worldwide. It is recommended that specific actions be prioritized in relation to women, as well as the operational logistics structure in favor of the optimization and qualification of the work performed by them. Thus, it is necessary to intensify research showing the reality of women in rural areas and highlighting the numerous struggles and movements in favor of the valorization of women and, consequently, improvements added to Family Farming.
