William Fairham was an early 20th century practical woodworker and educator in the Manual Arts Education system in Great Britain. Fairham authored a number of books in The Woodworker Series, published by Evans Bros. Subsequent to his passing, Evans Bros. hired Charles Hayward to reissue many of William Fairham's texts for the mid 20th century market. William Fairham was trained in the turn of the 20th century woodworking traditions as well as in the Manual Arts Education system which focused on hand work as an essential part of the educational process. His books are primary sources for anyone interested in hand tool woodworking and traditional joinery.
