WOUNDS FRAGMENTS DERELICT marks the debut poetry collection of Carlos Gabriel Kelly. This work tells a love story through a series of poetic fragments that capture the anguish of a relationship that lingers in the heart over time. Kelly centers his focus on "Her," reinterpreting his experiences through the lens of lost love, and intricately weaving memories of the past into rich verses that are romantic, daring, and passionate. Unlike typical clichéd love poems, these pieces are skillfully crafted with powerful repetitions arranged in couplets, tercets, and occasionally quatrains. Kelly's poetry interacts with the white space on each page, sometimes using it to create unconventional forms. In WOUNDS FRAGMENTS DERELICT, he also conveys feelings of resentment, fear, guilt, and sorrow as he longs for a love that hinders his ability to move on. With sincerity, emotional depth, and a touch of romance, Kelly captures the exhilarating highs and devastating lows of love and life in striking lines that will resonate with readers. We encourage you to read it-you won't regret it.
