Produktbeschreibung
These poems do not flinch from the raw reality of a body under siege. Yet, in the midst of medical interventions and physical transformation, the speaker finds herself increasingly attuned to the rhythms of the natural world. Nature becomes more than metaphor-it becomes balm, mirror, and companion. Birds, bones, rivers, and light are weaved into the narrative, offering both refuge and revelation. Written in the Body is not only a record of survival, but a testament to the healing power of language, landscape, and the human spirit. Intimate, urgent, and vividly rendered, this collection is a vital offering for anyone who has known illness, cared for the ill, or sought meaning in the most vulnerable corners of life.
