This book explores the advantages and, in particular, the disadvantages of this imaging method from the perspective of radiation hygiene. The focus is on the dosimetric analysis of the X-ray geometry and its re-evaluation and consideration in the context of a Monte Carlo simulation. The aim of the study is to raise awareness of radiation hygiene in accordance with the ALARA radiological principle, to provide a comparative presentation of the different radiation absorption properties of various modern incubator types, and to assess the influence on image quality in relation to free exposure.
Autorenporträt
Nasci em Coblença, irmão de três irmãs amorosas e sob os olhos cuidadosos da minha mãe. Estudei medicina em Luxemburgo, Bruxelas, Mendrisio e Marburg, entre outros locais. Após uma incursão na cirurgia, acabei por me dedicar à radiologia e à medicina nuclear, disciplinas que ainda hoje me entusiasmam.
