Long before I quit my job and moved to the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, a butterfly flapped its wings, and something in me shifted. This book is a love letter to that shift. A longing to explore, to slow down, to make sense of the chaos by returning to what I love. Privileged, but also unapologetically honest - these poems map my journey inward, a record of moments that shaped and softened me. I offer them to you, not as answers, but as invitations. In a world constantly speeding up, may you find, within these pages, a reason to pause and reflect on your own story.

Piyali Kar was born Bengali and turned vegetarian at fifteen-a slow rebellion that set the tone for her freewheeling life choices. As a writer and producer she has worked across audio, television, and OTT platforms. After growing up in Chhattisgarh with her banker father, homemaker mother, and a fiercely stubborn sister, she found her way to Mumbai, where storytelling took center stage. She now lives in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, welcoming travelers from around the world-and writing her nights away. @karpiyali
