Hi. This is where you usually read about accomplishments, degrees, etc. I am old enough to have a few of those, but here's what I think you should know about me:

I have been a follower of Jesus for more than fifty years. Like John Wesley, my heart was "strangely warmed" when I placed my trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior. I can still take you to the place where I was standing when that encounter with Jesus happened.

I am a husband, father, and grandpa. I am also a spiritual daddy to quite a few people, a truly humbling thing to me! I consider myself to be one of the least of Abba's children, yet I am able to say in clear conscience to any who wish to listen: Imitate Jesus as I imitate Him, love as I love, live as I live. The God I know and love is a God who is always speaking and who continues to work supernaturally. His mission for me is to introduce as many as I can into intimate relationship with him.

My most important life markers, in my view, are related to my family: loving and supporting my wife, Charlie (and before Charlie, Jettie, for forty-one years, until she went to be with Jesus in October 2010). By God's grace, Jettie and I raised two sons, Jon and Josh, to love God with all their hearts, souls, and strength. Through my marriage to Charlie, God has added even more amazing family members to my life.
