John Ruiz serves as a pastor and a board-certified chaplain (BCC) and holds a DMin from Ashland Theological Seminary. Ruiz is the author of the book A Chaplain’s Perspective on the 2020-2021 Pandemic: Tragedy, Resilience, Hope and a children’s book on Christian community, The Squirrel, the Eagle and the Red Hawk. He and his wife, Kristy, have been married eighteen years and have five children, three dogs, and a cat.
