This series of four stories follows the life of a couple through being friends as children to having a child. It starts with "Down Below" in a Wizard of Oz-like fantasy land and ends with "On the Bay" in the Chesapeake of Maryland. In-between are stories which encounter a homeless runaway experiencing an "Up Above" dissociation, and an experience "Across the Gulf" into a shamanic land, where the couple enter "un-time." We discover in these stories that the "magical realism" of childhood continues into adult life and has the hidden power to bring life.

Autorenporträt

The author holds degrees in Philosophy and Counseling Psychology and has an interest in Interdisciplinary studies. During his life he helped found a charter school which used arts integration and emphasized the sciences. He also worked in the area of mental health and advocated for patient rights. Last, he went several times to a remote village in Guatemala on a Sister Parish Project. His varied experiences have become the basis for A Couple Through Time. In these combined four fictional works he explores a range of human experience from the worlds of fantasy, depth psychology, travels to an exotic land, and what might happen in your own backyard.
