No parent should lose their child, but on the night of May 21st, 2012, Kimberly Worthington Farmer experienced every parent's worst nightmare when she learned that her nineteen-year-old son, Travis, had been in a fatal car accident. From that night on, Kim and her family are forced to navigate an unchartered path without Travis.

Autorenporträt
My name is Kimberly Worthington Farmer, and I live in Disputanta, Virginia. I am originally from Oklahoma. That is where the majority of my family is, and where I consider home. I have a loving husband of twenty-one years, Scott, and two wonderful children, Austyn, who is twenty, and Brian, who is eighteen, whom Travis loved so much, and they loved him back. The last twelve years without my son, Travis, have been challenging, and without the support of my mom Charlie King, sister, Sharra McKesson, and father Brant Worthington, and stepmom, Carole Worthington, this journey would not have been impossible. We, as a family have survived, and, as a mother, I have survived the unimaginable-the loss of a child. I hope this book helps mothers, friends of mothers, and anyone else who has suffered a tragic loss. That is my purpose and why I wrote this book.
