Juan Wolffse desempeñó como profesor adjunto de derecho enCentro de Derecho de la Universidad de Georgetowndurante 44 años hasta su muerte el 7 de diciembre de 2005 Además de la docencia, trabajó para el gobierno y fue consultor en Derecho Extranjero e Internacional en Washington, DC y publicó artículos en numerosas publicaciones jurídicas americanas y alemanas. Fue teniente coronel en el Cuerpo del Abogado General del Juez del Ejército de los EE.
