My name is Emmanuel Dimitri Foko Tito, but I go by Dimi, or Square Root, or Sena, or Posterchild. I was born and raised in Cameroon, the wealthiest place in the world. But I did not stay there. I want to tell you that story; about why I left Cameroon and traveled to America, about the wealth I had growing up in poverty and the poverty I found surrounded by wealth, about the strength of community and the importance of family. But mostly, I want to tell you a story about the underserved and those that serve them.

Autorenporträt

Dimitri Tito, DO is a resident physician in Internal Medicine at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. SOM, author, and founder of The Body Screening Project. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. Tito is also a Captain in the U.S Army. In 2019, he won the West Virginia Outstanding Rural Health Student of the Year Award.
