A Season of Crows: The Hymns and Hangovers of a Mad Poet is a haunting and unflinching collection of poems by Jeff Sloan - a voice both lyrical and raw, tender and unrepentant.
Inside these pages you will find the hymns of midnight revelry and the hangovers of dawn: poems of love and loss, joy and ruin, longing and madness.

Each piece wrestles with the fragile beauty and unbearable weight of being alive - from the burn of whisky on the tongue to the silence of a crow circling above a forgotten field.

Sloan's work refuses to look away. His lines move between the sacred and the profane, between myth and modernity, between the confessional and the universal. These are poems for anyone who has loved too deeply, grieved too long, or laughed in the middle of their own despair.

If you are drawn to the raw honesty of Charles Bukowski, the brooding intensity of Sylvia Plath, or the spiritual grit of Leonard Cohen, you will find in A Season of Crows a kindred voice.

This book is for the ones who carry both hymns and hangovers in their soul. For the dreamers, the broken, the haunted, the hopeful. For readers who know that even in the darkest season, the crows do not sing - they testify.

Come. Open the book. Let the crows lead you through the season.
