Produktbeschreibung
Abandoned but Not Alone is a narrative-driven, inspirational eBook that tells the life story of Andile, a child abandoned at birth and later restored through compassion, community, and chosen family.

Set in South Africa, the story begins with Andile being discovered as a newborn in Tembisa and follows his journey through El-Shammah Home, where structured care, faith, and human kindness lay the foundation for healing. The book traces his growth from infancy through childhood, adolescence, and into adulthood, highlighting the emotional, social, and psychological realities faced by abandoned and adopted children.Rather than focusing on trauma alone, the book emphasizes:Belonging beyond biologyThe role of caregivers, social workers, and children's homesAdoption as restoration, not replacementFriendship, bullying, identity, and resilienceThe long-term impact of early abandonmentReunion, forgiveness, and emotional closureThrough chapters that explore friendships, school life, bullying, emotional struggles, and Andile's eventual search for his biological mother, the story presents abandonment not as an end, but as a beginning shaped by love, intentional care, and courageous adults. The tone is gentle, hopeful, and human, written to be accessible to:

  • teens and young adults
  • adoptive parents and caregivers
  • social workers and child-care professionals
  • churches and community readers

At its core, Abandoned but Not Alone affirms that while a child may be abandoned by circumstance, they are never abandoned by purpose - and that one loving decision can redirect an entire life
