Pensador brilhante, especialista em Escrituras e Liturgia, Filósofo, Teólogo e sacerdote Franciscano construiu uma curiosa trajetória ministerial permeada pelo trânsito entre a academia e as favelas, a universidade e as vilas, povoados e cortiços; e pela prática do tipo de cristianismo com o qual se comprometera desde o início de sua vocação: o da compaixão e serviço abnegado.Autor de mais de vinte livros, entre eles o sucesso "O evangelho maltrapilho", ficou conhecido por sua autenticidade ao abordar os dilemas do homem em contraste ao amor e à graça de Deus. Sua luta contra o alcoolismo, a saída do sacerdócio, casamento e divórcio fazem de sua biografia um eloquente testemunho de restauração e esperança.
