Within the confines of the bars and the system, human fragility and resilience, helplessness and struggle intertwine. Each inmate's story holds a mirror to the survival and choices of the lower classes, allowing him to discern the forgotten joys and sorrows, and the glimmers of redemption, beneath the rules.
