The late writer Ibrahim Jalal was passionate about history, especially the history of Islamic Egypt. The author treated this exceptional historical figure in a book that was first published in 1944 under the title "Al-Mu'izz Lidin Allah Al-Fatimi", then he returned to it twenty years later to link the character with his most important achievements, which was "The Construction of the City of Cairo", so that the new title of the book in its form that coincided with the celebrations of the millennium of the city of Cairo became "Al-Mu'izz Lidin Allah Al-Fatimi and the Construction of the City of Cairo."
