Some days are routine but others are not, and the combination of individual skill of the Aircrew or Ground Staff combined with good or bad luck on a particular day makes for interesting reading

Included in this book are stories from Aircrew including bomb aimers, gunners, navigators and wireless operators while Ground Staff include stories from armourers, engine and airframe fitters, repair and salvage, airfield construction, medical, radar and equipment supply personnel serving in England, Europe, North Africa, Italy, Canada, India, Burma Ceylon, Malaya, New Guinea, Korea and Vietnam.

Several of the stories include details of time spent as a POW in Germany, Java, Singapore & Burma.
