ABOUT ELIZABETH ITO

Born in Tokyo to a Japanese father and Italian mother, Elizabeth was raised in Japan until eight years old when her family then relocated to Switzerland. Elizabeth returned to Japan at the age of twenty-one, where undertaking geisha training within the confines of Kyoto's Gion district, she became one of the few Eurasian women to live the life of a geisha until retiring at thirty-five years old. Elizabeth now spends her time between Japan and Switzerland.
