Probably the most well-known name in all of history is "Jesus", also known as "Christ". People who are called "Christians" know Him as their savior and worship Him because they see through the teachings of the scriptures that He is the Son of God, who gave His life to fulfill the requirement that blood must be shed to atone for, or, forgive sin. Jesus not only shed His blood but also gave His body to be "broken" and crucified to accomplish the forgiveness for all believers and give power over the works of the devil, for all who would believe in Him. After His death on the cross, He was buried and rose to life three days later, to prove that He had power over death and could promise that power to all who would believe in Him. He not only gives life but "eternal life". Before He went to the cross, He met with His twelve disciples and shared with them what we call "Communion". He gave them two elements to share (bread and wine), and told them that the bread symbolized His body, broken for all and the wine symbolized His blood, shed for all. He said, "As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, do so 'in remembrance of me' ". The communion is to be shared among all believers until Christ returns. This book spells out fourteen ways to "remember" Jesus that bring to light many of the ways Jesus has been involved in human history from creation and on into eternity. It is the author's hope that as you read and study these topics, that you will see Jesus as the "Christ" who came to give us the gift of eternal life..... Hence, the title "AS YOUR CHRIST!".
