Produktbeschreibung
A compelling dystopian tale of survival, intimacy, and unexpected connections in a world rebuilding from collapse.

After a biological disaster decimates the male population, the government launches an emergency program: selected young men, known as Givers, are assigned to help restore the human population through structured, state-supervised encounters. Helmut, just eighteen, enters this world with uncertainty - and soon discovers that behind every official assignment lies a real human story.

From the confident Janine to the guarded and mysterious Feride, each woman he meets challenges his assumptions and stirs something deeper than duty. As the years pass and the program continues, Helmut begins to question the fine line between obligation and desire, and whether true love can bloom in a society engineered for survival.

Spanning decades of social reconstruction, ethical tension, and tender human connection, this is a quiet, provocative journey about what makes us human - and what makes us hope.

Autorenporträt
Werner Stejskal is a romantasy storyteller who believes that love and imagination belong together. He only recently began writing in the genre but quickly became addicted to creating heartfelt tales where romance meets fantasy.

Rather than long sagas, Werner prefers stories under 10,000 wordstales that move straight to the heart without unnecessary fillers. His stories often draw on the atmosphere of Turkish soap operas, blending romance, fantasy, and emotion into short but powerful narratives. Most importantly, his characters always find their way to a hopeful and positive endingbecause stories should let us dream.

Werner was born in Vienna, Austria, and immigrated to Australia with his family in 1987. Now retired, he enjoys the serenity of the Australian lifestyle, which gives him the peace and inspiration to write.
