Assurance of salvation should be based on the promises of Scripture, not on feelings or works. Faith should follow biblical facts, and although works can confirm faith, they are not a reliable basis for assurance, as appearances can be misleading, especially during periods of disrupted fellowship with God.

For this reason, this book will enhance your personal relationship with God through contemplation and reflection. Continuously assess your life against the evidence of your salvation. May this journey bring transformation to your life as it has to mine.
