Autorenporträt

Ike Rose writes historic erotic romance fiction, usually taking place during the decades before and after the Stonewall Riots, which he thinks were the Golden Days of Gay Liberation. It is the period when he himself came out. He lives with his lover of over thirty years in Brooklyn, NY. Ike insists that his successful long-term relationship is his main inspiration in writing romance fiction. Like most of his characters, Ike and his partner both grew up in Brooklyn working-class homes.

Ike's writing often focuses on the unique struggles blue-collar gay men had coming out during his favorite time period. He includes details of his life as a single gay man hunting for love and companionship back in those days to
create a realistic atmosphere and romance.

With degrees in communications and social work, Ike has had professional and self-help articles published under another name, as well as some poetry. Ike has published several books with Smashwords, and stories in a number of anthologies.
