Beside him sits Vex, a sentinel droid with more pessimism than programming. Vex calculates the odds, and they're always bad. Corbin gambles anyway.
But this time the odds are worse than usual. The Syndicate has eyes on Korobah Spaceport. Enforcer droids are on the streets. Mercenaries are circling like vultures. And Diamond Jade, the Syndicate's queen of sequins and slaughter, doesn't take kindly to smugglers who don't know their place.
With his ship falling apart beneath him and his debts catching up, Corbin Nash has one last play: survive re-entry, dodge the bounty hunters, and hustle his way into a new ride before someone nails him to a bar wall.
Whiskey helps. Luck helps more. But in the end, Corbin's only real weapons are his smile, his blaster, and his ability to improvise faster than the universe can kill him.
If he's lucky, he might even walk away with a new ship.
If he's unlucky... well, this is the Betsy Loo's Last Dance.
