PatriciaHamplis the author of four memoirs- A Romantic Education, Virgin Time, I Could Tell You Stories, and Blue Arabesque-and two collections of poetry. She has received a MacArthur Fellowship, among many other awards. She lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.
