Autorenporträt
Mrigraj's voice as a poet is sensitive and new. He has developed his own unique style of writing, which shifts in nature with his poetries. His voice expresses solitude and separation. His voice expresses an eager to grow. He hails from the Tea Tribe Community of Assam who has his roots from Odisha. His forefathers had migrated to Assam four generations back when Britishers brought the people from various states across India, to work in the tea gardens of Assam as tea labourers. Born in the Bogabagh Tea Eastate, he spent his life in different milieux including the Tea Eastate's labour quarters in his birthplace, the village called Baregaon, a small town named Sonari, and the state's capital city Guwahati. He studied literature, and films. He is a multilingual poet who writes in English, Assamese, and Hindi. He has published his poetries in various magazines. His poetries have been broadcast at the All India Radio in both the languages of English and Assamese. Besides being a poet, he is a filmmaker, story writer, translator, story teller, essayist, screenwriter, actor, lyricist, activist and entrepreneur.
