Charles More has published a widely read textbook on modern British economic and social history, The Industrial Age: Economy and Society in Britain 1750-1995, (1989, 1997) and numerous other books and articles, especially on the history of education and of work. He has taught modern British and European history at the University of Gloucestershire since 1980.
