Autorenporträt
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Douglas Nickelson's professional life spans decades in the private sector and US military. While in the private sector, specifically within the energy industry, and as an independent strategy and operations consultant, and of late he brings nearly two decades of experience as an college adjunct professor to bear in this publication. His civilian education includes a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in business administration In addition to his experience in the private sector, Mr. Nickelson's combined time in uniform included service with the US Army active component, Reserve component and National Guard component. His career transcended enlisted and commissioned officer service in a variety of branches and functional areas. Entering as an infantryman, and culminating his military career as a theater level civil affairs plans, policies and procedures staff officer. His military education culminated with graduation from the U.S. Air Force Air War College. He and his wife Sandy reside in Florida.
