Mariotte isthe award-winning author of dozens of books, including the MajorCrimes Squad: Phoenix procedural thriller series, historical Westernepic Blood and Gold: The Legend of Joaquin Murrieta (with PeterMurrieta), the Cody Cavanaugh Western series, Tarzan and the Forestof Stone, the Deadlands novel Thunder Moon Rising, and many morein various genres. He's also known for his comics and graphic novelwork, especially the long-running Weird Western series Desperadoes.Three of his novels have won Scribe Awards for Best Original Novel,presented by the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers.He has also won the Inkpot Award from the San Diego Comic-Con, is aco-winner of the Raven Award from the Mystery Writers of America,and he has been a finalist for the Spur Award from the Western Writersof America and the Peacemaker Award from the Western Fictioneers,among many others.
