Autorenporträt
Rev. Dr. Herbert Hoefer was born in Oticago, USA, in 1941. He married Carol ( Clocter) in 1967, and they have been blessed with three daughters - two of them born in India. Rev. Hoefer received his M.Div. degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in 1967 and his STM in 1973. He studied at Columbia University on furloughs and received the Ed.D. degree in 1979. He is the author of "Teacher as Parent" (also translated into Malayalam and Telugu), "Gospel Preaching," "Church-State-Society" and editor of several books including "Debale on Mission" and "Christian An in India." In recent years, he has published several articles on mission, particularly issues of faith and culture in the Indian context.
