Autorenporträt
Flávio de Miranda Ribeiro is a mechanical engineer, with a master's and doctorate in Environmental Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a specialist in Sustainability (Polytechnic University of Catalonia-UPC, Spain) and in Environmental Management and Technologies (University of São Paulo-USP). He is a doctoral professor in the area of International Environmental Law. His research and work focus on circular economy, reverse logistics, and corporate sustainability, having published numerous articles on these topics. He worked for 20 years at the Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo (Companhia Ambiental do Estado de São Paulo-CETESB) on environmental improvement projects for industries, holding managerial, advisory, and strategic planning positions. He served as a technical advisor to the Secretary of the Environment of the State of São Paulo and as a counselor for the State Council on the Environment, and the Circular Connection Movement, part of the UN Global Compact in Brazil. He has worked as a consultant for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on circular economy and was a member of the United Nations' expert group on sustainable consumption and production. He provides mentoring and consulting services in the fields of circular economy, reverse logistics, eco-design, life cycle assessment, and related areas
