Will all this be enough to keep them safe from the residents of the crack house on the corner or the angry man who doesn't care how much pollution he causes in disposing of hazardous waste? They're hoping that it will and that they'll have a life together in spite of the odds.

Helen Haught Fanick grew up in West Virginia and now lives in Texas, and both states provide settings for her novels. Moon Signs, City Life, and Saving Susie are now available on Smashwords, and these and other publications are available on Amazon for Kindle and in paperback. Her work includes cozy mysteries, suspense novels, a World War II espionage novel, and short stories.

Helen has won several local and state awards and two national awards in the Writer's Digest Competition. She lives near Austin and travels extensively in West Virginia.
