Autorenporträt
Betsy Beacham Sceiford earned her bachelor's degree from Allegheny College. She taught fifth grade in Indiana for three years. Betsy earned her master's in reading from the University of Wisconsin. She then served as a reading specialist for twenty-nine and a half years in North East, Pennsylvania. Betsy enjoys reading, writing, crafting, playing cards (especially duplicate bridge). Betsy wrote her first book, Sausage and Biscuit, told through the voices of her two dogs. The main characters in this book are named for and based on two of of her youngest grandchildren, Harvey and Claire. She is seen here with her son, Michael, to whom the book is dedicated. He took his mom west with him to fulfill her bucket list desire to see the Grand Canyon and many other great sites. Many thanks to his wonderful wife, Stephanie, who made this possible by staying home with Harvey and Claire.
