When Jim accepted Christ as his Savior, realizing it was by grace and faith alone, he enjoyed studying the Scriptures. He served as an Elder at Grace Bible Church in Palm Bay for many years and taught Bible classes, including giving sermons when a pastor was unavailable. In December of 2004, Jim suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. After numerous medical challenges, he passed away on December 6, 2016. This book is a collection of his Bible lessons.

Autorenporträt
Jim was born in Marion, Ohio on November 8, 1934. After graduating from St. Mary's High School in 1952, he received an appointment to West Point Military Academy. He then served in the U.S. Army in Germany and Japan from 1955-1957. After working in Ohio and Michigan, he began working for RCA in Cape Canaveral, Florida in 1959. Then from 1963 to1969, he lived and worked at a tracking station on Ascension Island. He completed his B.S. degree in electrical engineering at Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Florida in 1970. He taught math and electronic classes for the School of Aeronautics and began working on his graduate degrees. He earned an M.S. in Systems Management in 1973 and an MBA in 1986. In 1972, Jim began working as an electrical engineer for Harris Corporation in Palm Bay, Florida, and retired in October 2001. The editor Sharon Irvin (an assistant professor of English at Florida Institute of Technology) married Jim on April 22, 1971. They have two children and three grandchildren.
