Autorenporträt
Gary Kulik served as a deputy director of the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, near Wilmington, Delaware. Previously, he was a department head and assistant director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History and the editor of American Quarterly. A graduate of St. Michael's College, he earned a PhD in American Civilization at Brown University. He has written extensively on early American industrial history. He is also a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, having served as a medic in the 4th Infantry Division and as an adjutant's clerk in the 61st Medical Battalion. He is the author of War Stories: False Atrocity Tales, Swift Boaters, and Winter SoldiersWhat Really Happened in Vietnam (2009). He lives in Wilmington, Delaware.
