About the author:

Born on April 21st Fedana is a Haitian- Canadian poet residing in Toronto, Ontario. She began writing as a means of self-expression, drawing inspiration from the late great poet Maya Angelou, along with Langston Hughes, Nikki Giovanni, James Baldwin, Ntozake Shange and more powerful African American literary figures. Fedana has a way of getting people to tap into different spaces of themselves through relatability. She puts a lot of herself in her writing as well as a lot of the encounters that she's had the opportunity to make. Her hobbies include performing spoken word poetry, connecting with nature, singing offkey at the top of her lungs, and reading as many books as she can cram into a year.
