In the beginning, years before Professor Maria Espinoza met Santo Martinez, she was married and a Professor of DNA Profiling at the University of Rio de Janeiro. It was there that cruel fate and to a large degree, evil events took over her life. It all started with her inability to get closure from the death of her infant daughter, Zasha. Hiding from shame and remorse turned out to be a horrendous game of hide and go seek. Shame and remorse both travelled into the middle of the Amazon Jungle with her. Redemption and a chance to appease her conscience for sins against her daughter eventually presented itself, in the form of a strange little girl lost in the jungle. However, many others, including the sinister organization called BASIC, the Brazilian Army Secret Intelligence Command, wanted the mysterious young girl for their nefarious experiments. Hiding from BASIC, Maria and Belle escaped into the jungle with a Captain from BASIC in hot pursuit. Other evil followed as well but eventually months later, Belle was returned to her lost tribe of Sky People. It was then Maria discovered the incredible truth of Belle, the Daughter of the Sky People.

Allan E. Petersen, now lives in Vancouver, Canada. Retired, he dedicates his time to a lifelong passion of writing. The two subjects that command his attention are: the mysteries that are hidden within our genetic code and contemporary interpretations of biblical writings.
