Don Porter comes to writing via a fascinating and circuitous route. Educated in Iowa and Alaska, he has built mountaintop radio and TV repeaters in Alaska, piloted commercial charter flights with passengers ranging from state troopers and mothers in labor to dead bodies, grubstaked prospectors, and rounded up reindeer. Then, trading snow for sunshine, he became a maintenance engineer in Hawaii. Oh, yes, he's also a Professional Private Investigator.
