My fifth book includes female-perpetrated crimes. It concerns women of all ages who ended up committing crimes for various reasons. The first crime I examine was committed in 1931 and even became a song titled "Wicked mother-in-law" written by Iakovos Montanaris. Following that are dozens of other crimes that took place in Athens and various regions of the country. Most of the homicides I refer to have captured public attention for a long time, some even for years. These were crimes that truly shocked Greece. The protagonist is the woman, as the physical or moral perpetrator or accomplice, in all the homicides included in the book: spousal murders, child murders, matricides, and murders of other individuals for various reasons. Many of these homicides have the characteristics of revenge, intense passion, deep hatred, and are related to money, jealousy, property issues, and other matters. An interesting fact is that most of the women who committed these crimes had clean criminal records and had never been involved with the police for even the slightest issue. They were, in fact, the women next door. I tried to make an accurate description and record of the actual events so that in the years to come, they can be used by the historian of the future without the fear of inaccuracy.
