Bernard Jacrot, ancien élève de l'Ecole polytechnique, a été le premier Directeur adjoint francais de l'Institut Laue-Langevin (1967-1973). Ce spécialiste de la neutronique s'est reconverti vers la biologie. (au moment de la parution de l'ouvrage)
