The Untold Story of a Pioneering Detective

Delve deep into the world of crime solving in Edwardian England with real-life Detective Edwin Fowle as he solves chilling headline cases ranging from infanticide, murder and robbery to battling fraud and pickpocketing. All his investigations expose the raw realities of a bygone era shaped by deep-rooted poverty and social inequality.

He was a pioneering force behind modern investigative policing in Kent as the first detective constable of the Kent County Constabulary, later to become the inaugural detective inspector in an era of limited forensic science, communication and transport, when every crime solved was a triumph of ingenuity over adversity.

This riveting compilation plunges you into the heart of actual investigations across the whole county of Kent, when Fowle and his small team had to use relentless determination, sharp intuition, and unwavering dedication to navigate a world where justice was fought for-one case at a time.
