Professor Dr. Udo Steinbach war von 1976 bis 2006 Direktor des Deutschen Orient-Instituts in Hamburg. Von 2007-2010 lehrte er an der Universität Marburg Politik und Gesellschaft des Nahen und Mittleren Ostens.
