Yaqoob Yawar, honored with various honors, is a well-known and respected writer of Urdu literature, whose creation stream has been continuously flows in various forms. He edited Dramas of Urdu playwright Agha Hashr Kashmiri in eight volumes, poetry, and critical research, translated more than a dozen novels in Urdu from English. He has published more than fifty articles in various papers and magazines. He retired this year as Professor and Head of Urdu Department of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.
