Emily Saiza is a resilient soul, a survivor, and a proud mother of three. Born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, Emily has transformed a life marked by trauma, foster care, mental health struggles, and addiction into a story of healing, strength, and hope. She draws inspiration from her children, her journey through adversity, and her passion for writing all of which led her to create Still I Rise, her debut memoir.

Emily speaks honestly about living with borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder, and she believes that vulnerability is one of the greatest forms of strength. Through her words, she hopes to give others who have walked similar paths the courage to keep going.

When she's not writing, Emily finds peace in music, nature, painting, and spending time with her children, who are her greatest motivators and her truest loves. She is living proof that no matter where you come from, you can rise again and again.
