If Conan Doyle can't solve the deadly curse that's attacking the Ghost Club, can Evie Winstanley do any better?

London, December 1904. In a rundown office, Evie has set up an occult detective agency, but supernatural cases are thin on the ground. She's almost out of money when Arthur Conan Doyle appears, requesting that she investigate the recent deaths of members of the Ghost Club-a secret society devoted to the paranormal. The creator of Sherlock Holmes can't risk public mockery for believing that the Ghost Club is cursed. But Evie has nothing to lose, and if she can pull off a successful case, everything to gain.

Pulled into a world of spectres, secrets and shadows, Evie turns to Kit-a reluctant psychic whom she once turned down. He wants nothing to do with the supernatural, but as the bodies mount and the veil between worlds thins, Evie needs him. And perhaps, despite himself, Kit needs her too.

Together, they uncover a conspiracy that extends from wild parties in Belgravia to the shabby streets of Soho. Behind it all lurks the most dangerous occult magician in London, ready to destroy anyone who gets in his way. He knows what Evie's capable of, and wants nothing more than to lead her into the darkness.

Domain of Darkness is a gothic, occult mystery steeped in yearning, menace, and the world of the unseen.
